Dr. Kapoor is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery. He treats patients for a variety of eye conditions and diseases including macular disease and diabetic retinopathy at the Wagner Macula & Retina Center, located in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia and North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biology, Psychology, and Health Sciences graduating Magna Cum Laude, and completed medical school at The Ohio State University. He then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, where he completed his residency in ophthalmology as Co-Chief Resident. Dr. Kapoor furthered his training with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During his time at the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Dr. Kapoor received the Resident Teaching Award and Chief of the Year Award. Dr. Kapoor has extensive research experience and is published in many national scientific journals. Additionally, he has served as a reviewer for several popular peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kapoor and his wife Dr. Elleni Kapoor, a dentist, enjoy raising their children in Hampton Roads.
